I started this blog, perhaps a couple of years ago, for sure. Wasted most of that on the previous things I had posted. I had been posting things based on my emotions...mistake, big time. My life is more than how I'm "feeling" on a particular day. So, I deleted all my previous posts and am going to start fresh. God's mercies are new every morning. So grateful for that...aren't we all!
In all honesty, I'm not sure how interesting this blog will be. I don't take a lot of pictures because I'm a horrible photographer and I don't do extraordinary feats, like an adventurer, but life is an adventure. I'm continuing my understanding of the sovereignty of God and how that has played out in my life and I can see how He has been with me "through many dangers, toils and snares" and how grateful I am for that!
So, I want to concentrate on the good things. I am a Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Some of those off-shoots are by natural flesh and blood and some are by God's grace gifts through marriage. Each one of those individuals is such a blessing to me. My cup truly runneth over!
So, today our A/C is working properly and it is much more comfortable in here! I actually got up and swept the floor and got my dessert for tomorrow started. The kitchen floor is next, ugh...then dusting the furniture. It all looks like I decided to go for the "frosted" look. Not pretty, believe me. I'll finish the dessert, make some cornbread for tomorrow then work on some crafts.
I want to make a card today for a special new friend. I'm kinda excited about doing that 'cause I haven't been able to be upstairs in my craft area due to the heat...no more excuses! So, I'll be mulling that over in my mind, asking God to give me inspiration. Then I hope to get the binding cut for Maddux's quilt so I can get that sewn on and ready to go when we go to Colorado next month. I hope he likes it. And of course, I have my knitting projects to work on. There are two going on right now. The last of a trio of dishcloths and a pair of fingerless gloves for the office this winter. Yes, it does get chilly here in Texas. :)
As I look back on this posting, I can see I have a full and rich life. And I haven't even started on the books I'm reading! That's for another day. I've had my little rest, so it's off to sweep the kitchen floor. A quote from one of the books I'm reading..."Contentment is a sweet, inward heart-thing. It is a work of the Spirit indoors." Adios for now!!
